is yet another in a long line of aristocratic commanders, but he does have the added benefit of providing both engine and payoff all on his own. Now, he only spawns one token per turn, but you can at least reliably have access to a ping a turn.
Notably, he has a fine statline for what he is doing, and he can just as happily sit around summoning sacrificial fodder while more powerful sacrificers do the actual work (also fitting). That said, there are several other creatures I would likely run before denethor, including Teysa, Orzhov Scion.
